We love Christmas and are so excited for it this year. A few weeks ago we put up our Christmas tree so I thought I would post some pictures. This is mine and Jakes first Christmas at our place so this is our first Christmas tree. We have already opened two gifts each because it is so tempting seeing them under the tree all day...I don't know if we can make it one more week.

Jake and I watched the movie Fireproof this weekend and I LOVED it. I recommend it to everyone! It will really change your marriage and all of your relationships. I will admit I cried through the whole thing...both times I saw it. Jake loved it too so don't be afraid that your husbands won't like it. I have put the trailer at the bottom of my blog so that you can all see it!

Friday was my 22nd Birthday! We had such a fun night. Jake completely spoiled me and got me some really great gifts, along with all the other great things I got from family. We started out the night with opening presents and then we went to Idaho Falls to do some shopping with the gift cards I got and then ate some really yummy italian at Johnny Carinos.

Jake got me the serger that I have been hinting about for weeks. I was so surprised, he did a good job at tricking me.

I love Jake, and I love Birthdays.

Catching Up...

Since it snowed yesterday I am now finally ready to accept that summer is over. So before we get too far into winter I need to catch up on all the fun things that we have done this summer while I was away from the blogging world...

Jake and I celebrated our one year anniversary in July, It is so weird to think that we started dating over two years ago. Who would have thought that on our first date we would be where we are now. I am so lucky to have him. To celebrate we went to Pocatello for the weekend to get away from Rexburg. It was so much fun! well for me, poor Jake was so sweet and let me go shopping which is not exactly how he wanted to spend almost a whole Saturday, but he was so great about it.

Here we are on the way to the zoo which consisted of 2 bears, a few mountain goats, and some buffalo and elk that were to far away to see. But it was still fun.
Part of the main attraction. Ha.

Sunday evening was our actual anniversary so we pulled out the old frozen wedding cake, but it actually wasn't that bad.

This picture is just kind of random but this is Jake with our neice Kyky. She is so much fun and it is cute when her and Jake get wound up.

My sister and my niece, Grace, moved from Rexburg this summer so it was so fun to be able to go and see her. We went with my parents to Washington to see them and then went to visit my Uncle who was camping at his resort on the Oregon Coast. Our trip was short but it was nice to get a break from work.

Here is a picture from the car of the coast. The water looks nice now but wait until you are stuck out there in the fog and the cold for about 7 hours and the coast guard has to launch their boat to come find you. It is an odd feeling to know that all those sirens you can here are for you. But, as Jake says, it will make a great church talk someday.

My younger sister also got married this summer. We just love Raul and are glad that they finally tied the knot. Here are some pictures from that day.

Back in Business

So I never realized how much we used the computer until we didn't have one. Our computer gave up awhile ago and we thought we could get by for awhile, but once school started we knew we needed to get one. So we have converted to the unknown...we got a Mac. But we love it and are excited to finally be able to get some work done without going to the library....oh and I am excited to blog again!!

A little of everything....

I haven't posted in awhile so here are some fun things that we have done in the last month...

My step-sister and her husband came up to visit and I met my nephew, Brigg, for the first time. He was adorable and we had so much fun with him around.

A few weeks ago I got home from my internship and these were lying on our bed and the house was super clean. Jake spoils me. I am lucky to have him.

4th of July was a lot of fun. I originally had to work all night so we didn't have any plans so when I got off at 5 we decided (well more I convinced Jake) to go to the Rodeo here in town. Jake had never been to a rodeo so it was an interesting experiance to say the least. We then watched the fireworks they have afterwards.
We had gone to the parade that morning so I am BURNT, as you can see in this picture.

Afterwards we went with Clynt and Jeannie to their friends house to do a little fireworks. Jake and Clynt had fun with the sparklers, it was funny to see how excited they got.

Also...School is out!! We are so happy, even though we each only had one class. It will be so nice to not have to get out of bed so early every morning and not have to worry about homework for a month and a half. Jake worked so hard in his chem class and it will be nice for him to have a break, plus he won't have to study so much which is bonus for me.

Little Victories...

So far I have only posted the big events that happen in our lives, which are not many because of work and school, so I decided to post some little victories that have happened to us in the last month that I have not posted...

So after about 10 1/2 months of living in our apartment I finally did something with our bare white walls. I am addicted now to finding and making cute decorations. So I am sure that I will post more later, but this is my first addition that i made for our living room.

We also finally got Mario Kart for the Wii. We looked for it everywhere and Jake found a copy and maybe it isn't a victory because we probably play it too much...but we love it.

We also got our couch fixed! So for those of you who we made sit on the floor or the table out of their own protection..our couch is now safe to sit on.

Jake's Birthday

May 22 was Jake's birthday! Here are some pictures of our day.

A visit from the birthday fairy.

Our friends Clynt and Jeannie got Jake a nerf gun. He loved it. I had to convince Jake to finally put it down so that we could open his other gifts.

Jake with his gifts. I got him the Wii and we pretty much played it all day.

On our way to dinner and the new Indiana Jones movie.

Mother's Day...

Mother's Day was so much fun! I am not a mother yet but Jake was sweet and got me some gifts anyways and made me a really yummy lunch after church. Jake also gave a great talk in church!

Our new addition....

So our gettho T.V that my parents gave to us when we got married finally gave up on us and made everything turn a green or purple tint. So we finally went and got a new T.V. last night. We are really excited!! I don't think that we have turned it off since we got it...

We set it up the second we got home...just in time for Lost. It's been a long time since we have seen our favorite shows in color.

Our new setup!
